It appears that my computer has recovered from its recent fit of rebellion and is now ready to talk to the Internet again.  Turns out it was all Avast's fault - it was OVERPROTECTING my computer!  It made me so insane I was prepared to format the bloody thing.  As I was telling my dotter, my next target is one of those lovely tiny 1kg computers ( Read more... )

Summer's in full gear now, it went over 30 degrees Celsius yesterday and the past two days I've been waking up feeling sticky cos I don't like to sleep with the air-con switched on...

Haven't been able to figure out what my new sleeping hours should be as yet... considering 1-8.30am.... should be doable I reckon.
